Somehow in the last two days I have had a feeling. Maybe someone else has already posted this. The timing of the food stamp expire I think may be linked to the election. Since all cards will not work, new cards will get issued to civilians only. They probably already know who’s who. Those who get cut from the system will be told that if they did not get a new card (or their old one is not reactivated) its because they are not citizens and can’t vote either. If they try to come to the polls and vote they will be arrested. Popcorn worthy?
Nobody has posted that, Mom. I like your idea that, in order to requalify for SNAP benefits once the government is back up and running, people should have to re-apply and show proof of eligibility. Non-citizens will be unable to start receiving them again without that proof. Without any food or means of support, they may self-deport before the mid-terms, leaving lots of time to clean up the voter rolls.
