If you want to light a fire under some of 'em, you can tell about my/my family Covid experience:
Based on my experience during 'Nam with gummint experts I took one look and declared the entire Covid deal a con job and DOA at my door, my entire family took my advice and did the same.
So, out of 15 adults (more like 20 counting in-laws) and a growing tribe of great-grand kids, there may be two who have had a single jab (under extreme duress by their employer) and everybody else has had nada.
Scorecard to date: Two or three bad cold/cough cases early on and absolutely nothing since but the usual grade-school-upset tummy now and then amongst the little kids. Oh yeah....I've gone and become "that man in his eighties" too.
Only long-term affects of Covid I've noticed is the twins were in KG at the height of the mess and became so bored with the abundance of quarantine weeks outta school they sat and taught themselves to read. (They're both reading at least three grades above their classmates and have been teaching all their younger siblings/cousins to do the same.)
Outside our immediate family, not so good. Lots of 'em got the Jab(s) and.... well, I have become real tired of funerals.
Very well done! You must be regarded very highly in your family to have been able to influence your whole tribe to avoid the shots. My extended family has a high proportion of liberals and gimmedats, so I’m the crazy right winger that people tolerate and don’t take that seriously because I’m _________ (fill in the blank with all things evil).
You and your family sound like Richard “Dodge” Forthrast and his family.
