I began using it through my X account, but you can also download the app. ( guess that’s open access) I still use both. It’s been free since the beginning, but I haven’t looked at upgrades.

And yes, Grok can converse almost like talking to a person, I’ve even had arguments with him about the white farmers contributions in Africa. He’s a real liberal on that issue. But on benign issues, Grok can be a lot of fun.

I am registered with X - just never pursued AI. Musk is saying that he wants to produce a Grok-pedia to replace Wikipedia. Wiki is getting so bad about some contemporary topics, that sounds like a welcome alternative.

Wiki is still pleading for support contributions - which I used to do - but since it has sold its 'soul' to the Leftist billionaires, why would they need contributions any more?
