COLUMBIA — South Carolina law enforcement officials are urging patience after the father of slain college student Logan Federico — who was murdered in downtown Columbia while visiting friends at the University of South Carolina — accused them of failing to lock up the repeat offender accused of killing her.
During a Sept. 29 satellite hearing of the U.S. House Judiciary Committee on Oversight in Charlotte, Steve Federico, Logan’s father, slammed South Carolina’s judicial system for systemic failures that allowed his daughter’s alleged killer, 30-year-old Alexander Dickey, to commit the May murder after a more than decade-long criminal history.
His rap sheet included dozens of felony and misdemeanor charges across the Midlands region of South Carolina.
Federico specifically criticized 5th Circuit Solicitor Byron Gipson, whom he accused of failing to communicate with him after the 22-year-old’s murder in the student-dense Old Shandon neighborhood during a home invasion.
During an interview with Trey Gowdy on the Fox News channel, Federico called for Dickey to receive the death penalty and expressed incredulity that Gipson’s office had not made a statement calling for it.
“I could sit down and explain the whole process of how it failed, how South Carolina failed Logan, the lack of communication,” Federico told lawmakers Sept. 29. “What y’all did? You woke up a beast. And you pissed off the wrong daddy. And I’m going to put it out there, and I’m not going to be quiet.”

And then he'd "skip bail", and he, the linesman's pliers, the bolt cutters, the electric drill and the propane torch would never be seen again...
I live in Waxhaw and know USC pretty well. Waxhaw is basically a crime-free hamlet south of Charlotte, while USC is a nice campus, but it’s surrounded by an absolute ghetto. Every time Columbia tries to clear and upgrade the area around the campus, the blacks cry gentrification and the movement shuts down.
I know the area she was staying in and it is NOT safe, but I understand her naivety due to how halcyon Waxhaw is.
The Hon. Mr. Gipson (Democrat) appears to be a gentleman of color. The perp appears to be of a similar persuasion. Victim was white.
He’s a solicitor in Columbia and doesn’t have a good reputation.
Those two photos show why he was let out and not being prosecuted. Just like the girl on the train in North Carolina.

Democrats love this. They know exactly what they are doing when they let these black repeat insane criminals out to kill white people. Read the comments under any of these stories. Especially that one of Austen Metcalf who was ‘allegedly’ stabbed by a black. They are claiming white people deserve it for ‘muh racism’ and ‘muh slavery.’
