I mostly agree with you. However, After the Ottoman Empire lost in WWI, Attaturk did much to secularize Turkey.

It was only after the Muslims became wealthy because of oil that we have our current problems with jihad.

Decades ago, my son worked as a computer guy for Bechtel in Riyad, Saudi Araia. Had a lot of travel benefits, flew all over the p lace.
