It's hard to imagine the Rangers firing a manager who won their only World Series three years ago. I suspect the front office wants someone the analytics department can push around. Bochy isn't that guy.

Lots of rumors about clubhouse drama for the rangers this year and they were much less competitive than they should have been. If either party really wanted Boch to stay I think it would have happened but I bet management was just soured enough and Bochy didn’t want to put up with the bs for another season.
