Dr. Quinton Ross, the president of Alabama State University, called the remark “distasteful” and “short-sighted.”

But notice that Dr. Ross did not say that the remark was factually incorrect, and judging from the picture in the article, it seems to be pretty much spot-on.

Gosh, college football fans commenting on their opponents cheerleaders and taking flack for it.
I remember when Ohio State switched to artificial turf sometime late in 2000’s and of course U of M made the official comment of:
“Well, at least it will stop their cheerleaders from grazing at halftime.”
We have gotten so damn thin skinned that even calling a spade a spade when you see it is reason for protest, facts be damned.
