In the winter, IF one drives out onto a frozen body of water and the vehicle: a 4-wheeler, snowmobile, truck, car, etc goes thru the ice, one is held liable for all the above.

Lived in Houston, Tx, when two tropical storms rolled thru. 1st one dropped 36” of rain, 2nd did ~40”. Each within 48 hours.
Houston is all of 12-15 feet above sea level. Water ain’t goin anywhere fast. Houston is also major transshipment center for cars for most of middle America. Thousands of them were parked near port. Thousands of them went steering wheel deep in rain/runoff water.
All were totaled.
