Trump ran a great campaign in 2024.
1. Economic Concerns and Inflation
2. Immigration and Border Security
3. Law and Order.
4. Weaponization of the Federal Government / Perceived political targeting
Trump had a nuanced approach towards the abortion issue because he wanted to maintain support among conservative supporters at the same time trying to appeal to moderate and independent voters who are pro-choice and may have voted for the Democratic Party in the aftermath of the Dobbs decision in 2022.
1) Abortion is a state issue, not a national issue per Supreme Court. It wouldn’t be proper for anyone to make it a national issue.
2) Off year elections are different from Presidential years. Something besides a litany of issues is needed to get the unmotivated to come to the polls.
Is there anything other than a good ground game that has been proven to get the unmotivated to the polls?
The Dems have their unmotivated and often get them to the polls.
The Republicans not so much in most areas. VA and NJ will be interesting in Nov 2025. Compare specific precincts 2021 to 2025 in NJ and VA. Which specific precincts had an increase? Which specific precincts had a decrease? ... for each Party? and why?
