Part of the appeal is that it gives people a second childhood. Your first is when you develop an identity and learn to live in your growing body, and find your place in the world. Going Trans allows you to start all over and do it again, but this run has the delicious component of allowing you to stop in mid-adolescence because “society won’t accept you” and you just can’t be happy until every person in the world is absolute gushing over how brave you are. (If that happened, dissatisfaction would soon set in and another issue would develop.) These people do not grow up.
There was a loud Trans in town. Every time he posted his picture of cheap jewelry and long hair, several gushed how beautiful he was. Of course his broad shoulders and defined manly face gave up the ruse. But his local friends all gushed.
