I’ve had zero problems with Brave since I upgraded from Windows Vista to OS/X in 2009. :)

I can’t shed any light on your particular issue, but it’s not impossible that Microsoft is breaking its competitors’ software on purpose - again.

In this case, it seems it’s more like Microsoft is breaking their old OS, and my Brave bookmarks somehow got caught up in it...
