I am not offended so much as mystified as to how anyone could draw that conclusion from the facts available. It is about as sensible as saying Hinckley was a libertarian conservative or Lee Harvey Oswald loved the ambience of Camelot.
But it’s an opinion and expressing an opinion, no matter how daft, should not be considered a crime. If we open up that rabbit hole it will be even bigger the next time we have a progressive regime. Of course maybe there won’t be a next time at the rate they are spiralling down.
I’ve been monitoring a leftist open chat site about these events (since before the election actually) and at the moment, about two thirds of them would admit a leftist killed Charlie Kirk, one third cling to the dumb theory of rival MAGA factions. That’s a lot of idiocy given the evidence. But it came up early on and people tend to cling to liferafts to avoid processing unpleasant information, like one of theirs is yet again responsible. They also to the last person standing insist that the Minnesota rampage was a MAGA supporter — ignoring his statements about wanting to help Walz and his past receipt of Democrat patronage.
Well, I wasn’t going to watch Jimmy Kimmel anyway, he has some mildly funny stock characters that he plays on SNL but apparently stand-up comedy or commentary is beyond his cognitive abilities. Not sure if it needs investigating, we all know there are dumb people wandering around out there, always have been. Did we run out of dunce caps?
