I think a lot of these guys get a few minutes dose of pure oxygen before submerging, so it’s not totally unassisted.

I did two full minutes once in a 6’ pool with no exertion. But snorkeling in the Jupiter Inlet in the late 1970s I was pretty decent, not sure of submerged length. Did 38’ free dive once in Palm Beach Inlet (Lake Worth Inlet is the formal name). I’m a female with a very large chest since adolescence so I’m accused of having an advantage.
