Affirmative action is when organizations make an active effort by devoting resources to better the employment and educational opportunities of marginalized groups such as ethnic minorities and women.

It doesn't work that way in practice. It ends up as de facto racial quotas, even if it is called DEI or something else.

The Ivies are no longer (if they ever were) arbiters of brain power. Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerburg, Michael Dell, Quentin Tarantino, Richard Branson, Peter Jennings (RIP) are all successful college dropouts. All white guys. Interesting.
