I have several times thought, I don’t want the doctor who operates on me to know anything about my politics. People who could hurt you and claim it was an accident occur in lots of interactions. I’ve heard clerks talk about how they screwed this person or that because of (reason.) The people screwed will never know. The problem is that Democrats have proven time and again they ARE the people who passively aggressively hurt you if they simply disagree with you. As an organization employing people, they should get rid of those people when they reveal themselves.

For what it’s worth since the first day I ever touched a patient, I had it relentlessly drilled into me that WHO they were or WHAT they were was outside of my job, and that how I am would have reacted to them on the street or socially was forbidden to me at the bedside.

I had the old kind of training. Definitely “shape up or ship out”. But it was good because it’s gotten me through lots of interactions that would have been a problem if I hadn’t gotten my head screwed on right in the beginning.

I don’t think my kind of training is available any more.

Remember when the Rev. Jesse Jackson bragged about being a waiter and spitting in the patron’s soup?
