If I have a neighbor that returns home from prison heaven forbid and he commits another crime would I want him freely roaming my neighborhood?
I don’t see how any of his constituents except con’s and ex-con’s could support this.

I was a probation officer for 45 years in a very small county. New people to the area would be aghast that their sons would go to jail like they were told. They quickly learned to straighten up. Our courts didn’t mess around. The good citizens appreciated the tough courts. I often have men approach me with thanks for making them get their lives in order.
