Yep. Total Embargo on Brazil.
The supposed January 8, 2022 “coup” consisted of 1000 or so ordinary citizens with no organizational structure wearing the Brazilian flag t-shirt and carrying signs outside the Brazilian Parliament. They were there for several days, and were ordered to disperse by the police. They remained there, and then someone entered the Parliament building and smashed numerous plate glass windows. Mysteriously, none of the 200 security cameras in the building recorded anything. So we don’t know who smashed the windows. After this, the protestors, 99 percent of whom did nothing but stand there, were sentenced to 15 years in prison. There is no proof of who entered the buildings. Street protests are a regular part of life in Brazil and many other countries, like a St. Patrick’s day parade which happens spontaneously. They are not violent but involve signs and are done to show disapproval of the government, like Trumps 2016 inauguration with the invention of the “pussy hat”. There is zero point zero evidence that Bolsonaro had any contact with a single person who was at the protest. That’s where we were headed until Trump 2.0.
