Why would he put a scope and muzzle suppressor on his pellet rifle? That’s actually a pretty common configuration today. Sound suppression on an air rifle is unregulated (legal).
The suppressors for air rifles are not designed for the pressures of regular firearms.

Some of the pellet rifle have a pellet which goes faster than sound. A supersonic pellet will issue a crack when fired. Some air rifles have muzzles on them.
There are “big bore” air rifles which can take down hogs and deer.
Hope they catch all of the killers, and execute them all at once.
