I’ve told this before, but my neighbor in Canada had a heart attack and was taken to North Bay for treatment. They sent her to Sudbury, about 80 miles away, since they didn’t have the equipment for a complete workup. Sudbury suggested she needed a triple bypass, but referred her to Toronto (just under 250 miles) for a complete battery of tests because they were not equipped for a complete set of tests. Toronto confirmed the need for a triple bypass and scheduled the surgery...13 months later! She died four months after the completed tests.
Which is better: Free medical care, or medical care that can save your life?
Back in June of 24 I had open heart surgery and it took 3.5 months from my initial echocardiogram to being released from the hospital after surgery including all tests beforehand
