🏛️ Why Politicians Don’t Want to Solve Problems

Here’s a theory I’ve been thinking about — and the more I look at the world, the more it seems to hold up:
Politicians don’t actually want to solve problems.
Because there’s more money, power, and influence to be gained in keeping those problems alive — especially in times of chaos and fear.

Let me explain.

💰 Crisis Means Cash
Every time a major problem surfaces — whether it’s war, climate change, crime, or public health — billions of dollars get thrown at it. Committees are formed. Programs are launched. Studies are commissioned.
It looks like action, but too often it’s just theater. Behind the scenes, that money flows into the hands of consultants, contractors, nonprofits, and corporations with political connections. In many cases, these programs never actually fix anything.
Why would they? If the problem goes away, so does the funding.

😨 Fear Justifies Control
Fear is one of the most effective tools in a politician’s toolbox. When people are afraid, they’re more willing to:
• Accept surveillance or censorship “for their safety”
• Support emergency powers “for the public good”
• Vote for politicians who promise to “fix it”
Once those powers are in place, they rarely go away — even after the crisis has passed.

🗳️ The Perks of Perpetual Problems
If you solve a problem, you lose a campaign talking point.
But if you keep a problem just bad enough, you can keep saying:
“We’re working on it — just give us more time, more power, and more money.”
It’s a great way to get re-elected without ever delivering results.

🧾 Follow the Money

Most government programs are complicated — by design. That complexity makes it easy to hide waste, corruption, and “skimming off the top.”
The bigger the problem, the more layers of bureaucracy. The more layers, the more opportunities to quietly redirect funds to friends, donors, or pet causes.

😇 Is Every Politician Corrupt?

No, not all of them. There are honest public servants out there. But the system itself is built in a way that often rewards dysfunction more than results. Even well-meaning politicians can get caught in the machine.

🤔 Final Thought

This isn’t about left vs. right. It’s about how power thrives in chaos — and how solving problems can be bad for business in the political world.
So no — you’re not wrong to be skeptical. In fact, we should probably be more skeptical.

Why Politicians Don’t Want to Solve Problems

Totally agree with everything you say here. I can extend this thread further by stating boldly, despite the contrary statement, Socialism WORKS whenever and wherever it is tried.

Socialism and socialist policies are not intended for the masses. That is the grift. No socialism is all about the oligarchy.

1) The primary beneficiary of Socialism or Socialist Policies (SSP) is the socialist politician.

2) The secondary beneficiaries of SSP are the oligarchs, contractors and bureaucracies that support the SSP.

3) The tertiary beneficiaries of SSP are the so-called recipients.

4) The primary and essential characteristic of socialist politicians is being a consummate liar.

Example: Illegal Alien arrives in town and is greeted by a NGO worker who guides him to housing, a debit card and food stamps, all from various NGO's via government programs. These NGO's are funded by you and me through a network of NGO's and up until now USAID, likely other sources too with taxpayer money. These NGO's take hefty profits for each illegal alien while paying the workers and finally funding the campaigns of the socialist politicians. The politicians provide cover also. And the grift goes on.

Sanctuary cities are just cash cows (up to now). With the dissolution of USAID, I foresee many losses by the Dems in the subsequent elections. With the enlightenment of DOGE, it looks like the Left is just a paper tiger without the massive grift.

Also, the electoral landscape is leaning to the right. If the illegal alien parasites can at last be deported or simply not used for the census apportionment, the Dems lose worse. If the USSC comes down against birthright citizenship, the Dems are not ascending for decades.
