I saw a tik-tok video, where the woman realized that her working while married caused her to start not deferring to her husband and, instead, defer to her boss.
For the woman, she didn’t become independent. She just changed her source of dependency from husband to her boss.
I thought that was interesting.
Also interesting that she recognized it.
