Beyond the headline, here's the crux of it.

Was Jesus Liberal?

Of course, it depends on how you define it.

So, let’s do that. In the dictionary, liberal has a variety of meanings.

It's written tongue-in-cheek with a play on how the word "liberal" has been used differently over the years. On a related note, I sometimes hate that we've let the left takeover the word "liberal" knowing that their ways have nothing to do with liberty. The more classic definition of "liberal" (in a political sense) was a lot more small-government, conservative leaning.

Regardless it is tiresome and imho somewhat disrespectful to label our Lord liberal or conservative. Christ is what God’s (His) word says He is.

Adding to or taking from that which is biblical is heresy pure and simple.

That being said both liberals and conservative, and moderates are all wrong and sinful, as filthy rags and our attempts at reasoning corrupted beyond any semblance of truth without the Holy Spirit’s indwelling of us.

We’ve let the left take over many words and control the rhetoric, while the right rolls over and exposes their jugular and let’s them.

I’m so sick of it and it needs to stop!
