What did the turban do to cause the accident? I understood the turban couldn’t read or speak English and didn’t know what the traffic signs meant. Now that the left has convinced the blooming idiots in this country that it is the guns who kill people, it’s not the murderers, they ready’re to be convinced that turbans cause semi-trucks to kill Haitians while committing an illegal U-turn

You would normally think that randomly killing people on the road was good for business.
Indians have some of the poorest English language skills I have seen.
If foreign born drivers (esp illegals it seems) weren’t so notorious for being involved in nasty, deadly accidents because of their old country horrendous driving skills, this wouldn’t be a problem.
If Sikh truckers don’t like the stereotype, they need to change how they drive to set the gold standard for safety on the roads.
That’s a fair take.

I’ve known quite a few Sikhs in Silicon Valley. In general, they have been fine Americans, immigrants with worth.

There are many people on this platform who believe Sikh are the ideal immigrants. They aren’t. Just because they have a disdain for Muslims isn’t any reason to encourage them to emigrate. They have the same arrogant expansionist ideas to dominate as Muslims.
The unfortunate result of the Sikh driver, besides the lives lost, is that many people will look unfavorably on the entire Sikh community. I know many Sikhs and they are generally humble, friendly, love America, and law-abiding people. They are not ass-lifters or anti-Christian, and most have assimilated to the US. Many of them were harassed after 9/11 by mistakenly being identified as ass-lifters.
And if they are legally here.

I’ve occasionally watched “Highway through Hell.” For those who haven’t, it’s a t.v. show about guys in Canada who drive tow trucks on mountainous roads in Canada. The action mostly takes place in winter. Many of the big rig drivers they have to pull out of snowbanks are from India. They can barely speak English and haven’t a clue how to drive in ice and snow. They don’t know how to put on tire chains before they have to climb steep roads, for example. They hold up other traffic for hours when they get stuck.
The tow truck guys have to turn out in blinding snowstorms and sub-zero temperatures to rescue them time after time. Needless to say, some are fed up. These drivers are a hazard to everyone on the road including the guys who drive the tow trucks.
