I was a big Jimmy Cliff fan, saw The Harder They Come when it used to play regularly in Cambridge. Actually ran into him walking down Mass Ave with a small entourage.
Yeah, reggae seems to have been huge in the Boston area back when one of my sibs lived there. Jimmy Cliff was on the radio a ton. She wasn’t feeling up to seeing what turned out to be Marley’s last performance there, figured that she’s see him during one of his shows the following year. Regretted that. I figure, no Marley, no cry.
