You’d have to have lived here for a while to understand how things work. The public sector unions, the CTU being chief among them, decide elections in Chicago. The average voter doesn’t really matter.

Then there are the gangs who are the GOTV arm in the crap hole neighborhoods. A couple of billion dollars in drug money flow through the city every year. That kind of cash buys a lot of voters and a lot of silence.

No matter how bad you think things are here, believe me, they’re worse.
