The archaeology of Oman that impresses me is that done by Rose, having shown that the spear points found in Oman are the same as in Ethiopia, the Bar al Mandeb being almost nothing at the time. This corresponds to the Genesis 3 description of the location of "Eden" as being bounded by Ethiopia back when the southern end of the Arabian Peninsula was a swamp.
