I can assure you that the GOES imagery is not doctored. Your flat-earth friend posted a NASA image of Earth from space. I was just asking for the website to determine whether the image was valid. Since you guys can’t provide the website, I conclude that the image was doctored by your flat-earth friends.
Maybe it would be good to review the first principle of scientific integrity:
The first principle of scientific integrity is that you must not fool yourself—and you are the easiest person to fool. So you have to be very careful about that. After you’ve not fooled yourself, it’s easy not to fool other scientists. You just have to be honest in a conventional way after that.
