I think there is a good chance Belichick leaves UNC after this season on his own direction, not because he was fired, IMO he’s not a college coach, you can be a curmudgeon in the NFL so long as you win, in college, high school kids and boosters have to be schmoozed and from the outside that is not an asset that Belichick has.
