
Yeah, stripper clips are reusable until one breaks off the keeper tab. The action in your pic is Mauser 98 family and the rounds shown are 8MM. Note the short , more stubby neck, which I usually spot a mile away. The cartridges shown are most likely re-loads since it is uncommon to find Spitzer points in 8MM.
The cartridges shown in the pic up-thread are most likely 30-06 noted by the longer, more sloped, shoulder. And they’re not “AP” as hinted at in the text the shooter left. If they were they’d have a black paint nose. And I still haven’t seen a claim that the 5 rounds in the pic are the same as what the shooter actually used.
One might get an -06 round to fire in a loosy-goosey 8MM action but it would be like shooting a paint brush from the handle. At .318 the 8MM rounds would never chamber in an -06 barrel, tho.
