SefDef Pete says he knew who was in the speed boat, where it came from, what it was hauling, and where it was going. But I need a little help making sense out of the so-far story. I’m not seeing 11 people in the boat and I’m not seeing more than ,say, a suitcase sized load or cargo. If they were going to smuggle a dope load to the US the closest place would be Brownsville which is nearly 2,000 miles from Lake Maracaibo. That would be at least 600 gallons of fuel, IE. at least 12 drums. It’s not there. The boat just ain’t big enough and it’s riding too high to have a bilge cargo.

My best guess so far is that this particular boat was smuggling people and was going to meet another vessel nearby. Other wise it had no chance of making it back home. And to take a WAG the cargo might have been furriners who had been helping Maduro but needed a ride home to avoid getting Trumped. Remember when Ivan never said a word when his covert troops in Syria got themselves Trumped? This wasn’t just a drug bust. And, yeah, Trump loves him some Hellfire.
