I have always told my kids, "It's impossible to overdress."
(Thinking of James Bond walking on beach with a tux.)
Anyway, pretty sure no one would think of me as a sissy, but the one thing I sort of envy Trump about is the ability to go through life in perfect, hand-made suits that probably feel as soft as clouds and definitely reek with power.
Maybe this is a battlefields vs. boardrooms thing.
My dad never looked quite right in a suit, no matter how much he spent or the pains he took. One of his brothers, on the other hand, could pull off wearing a burlap bag. Both were athletic and fit, but my uncle just made everything he wore look good.
It frosted dad's hindquarters.
My father had to have his suits tailor-made, and he always looked wonderful. It’s not like the way most men dress today, unfortunately.
Thanks so much for the memories.
