For instance the excess amount of carbon dioxide without the presence of water suggests something living.
The Wow! Signal and 3I/Atlas appear to have originated from the constellation Sagittarius.
The Wow! signal was a strong narrowband radio signal detected on August 15, 1977, by Ohio State University's Big Ear radio telescope in the United States, then used to support the search for extraterrestrial intelligence. The signal appeared to come from the direction of the constellation Sagittarius and bore expected hallmarks of extraterrestrial origin.

The numbers and letters represent the energy intensity of the signal. It was off the charts.
The Wow! signal was traced to a region near Chi Sagittarii, and some analyses suggest it may have come from a Sun-like star about 1,800 light-years away in that direction.
3I/ATLAS, discovered in July 2025, also seems to be entering our solar system from the Sagittarius sector, though its exact origin is harder to pinpoint due to its high velocity and interstellar trajectory
As I understand it the Sagittarius sector is toward the core of the Milky Way.
The Dark Forest Hypothesis is a chilling solution to the Fermi Paradox, which asks: If the universe is teeming with life, why haven’t we heard from anyone?
It is thought that civilizations may deliberately stay silent to avoid detection. The universe is like a dark forest and every civilization is an armed hunter silently stalking through the trees. Popularized by Liu Cixin’s novel The Dark Forest, part of the Three-Body Problem trilogy.
Sagittarius A Star, the black hole presumed to be at the center of the Milky Way Galaxy...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As you suggested, the Sagittarius constellation is a direction, not a place, as the stars and other components we see could be at vastly different distances from Earth.
Sagittarius A* is the name of what current cosmological theory interprets as a massive black hole at the center of the Milky Way galaxy, and which appears from our (radio-telescope) point of view to be in the vicinity of the Sagittarius constellation (hence the name).
In other words, that signal coming from Trantor (for those who recognize the reference).
