Would a 7.62x39 round work in one? That’s what my Saiga uses. And yeah, they’re expensive. I’m finally working again, it’s on my wish list.

No, different round. IIRC there was a couple of G43s made in 7.92x33K - very few and very rare. (this was the same round used for the Stg 44 - the forerunner of the “assault rifle”).

7.62 X 39 work in a German G43? Nope. Not even close. Too small diameter, too short, and probly not powerful enough to cycle the action. Learn how to use Auction Arms web site. If there’s one around it’ll turn up there.

The last one I had some heathen wanted really bad so I sold it to him for his first born. So I can’t help you at the moment but it’s a piece I would glom onto if it came my way.
