“All I’m saying, contrary to the media blowhards, is there is nothing “K98” about the rifle in the pic.”

Have I missed the part where the FBI tested the assassination bullet against the gun they found in the woods and came out with a definitive statement that the found-gun was the weapon used to kill Charlie?

Haven’t heard that the actual bullet was found yet. It likely spalled and fragmented when it hit the vest. Without that there’s nothing to compare a test firing to.

Larry Q:" FBI tested the assassination bullet against the gun they found in the woods.. "

I'm wondering the same thing. I still believe it was a low velocity round. what size I don't know. but the sound alone is enough for me.

I watched the video of the bullet hitting Kirk's shirt collar just bellow the wound. The shirt blew upward that was what i first noticed. Then "bouncing" up to hit his neck.
I believe the bullet resistant shirt reflected the bullet to hit his jugular. If it penetrated at the location it hit his collar he would've had a far better chance.

It was clearly a bullet resistant T-shirt you can see the inserts bulge up behind him(other videos) and in the front.

According to the National Institute of Justice (NIJ) standards, “para-aramid” fabrics, such as Kevlar, without a ballistic insert are typically classified as a Level I or sometimes referred to in relation to their capability against certain threats, but specifically:

Level I is defined for providing protection against9mm (full metal jacket) and .357 Magnum (semi jacketed, wadcutter) ammunition.

If they're claiming it's a .30-06 regular velocity then it's a farce. As you can see the dark mark on the shirt without a hole.
