The university confirmed that police have a suspect in custody. The campus has been closed and classes canceled until further notice.

“A single shot was fired on campus toward a visiting speaker. Police are investigating now, suspect in custody,” the school confirmed in an emergency alert.

I was just in line at the grocery store with my earpiece in and heard that Charlie had died. Cashier Karen asks me how I am. “Not good. Charlie Kirk has just been murdered,” I said.

I tell her he is a political pundit who is from here.

”Oh. Is he a Trump person?”
