Wow! I don’t know how your body copes with that. I would have the occasional cup of tea, but I didn’t have my first cup of coffee until about 25 years ago, when it became a challenge to get up at 6:15 for those golf tournaments 30-45 minutes away that always started at 8:30 and then be at my best from that first tee shot. I’ve never been a morning person and the caffeine hit gave me the kick start I needed to play well at a time of the day my body didn’t like. I hated the playing times so much that I quit golf completely in 2019 and only took it up again in 2020 because it was all we were allowed to do when the covid madness was in full swing. I never did return to competitive golf after 2020 and was pleasantly surprised that I began to love the game again when it stopped feeling like work. Now I drink coffee because I like my routine of having my one cup before 10:00 a.m. while I read the news. The coffee also helps me wash down my vitamins and supplements.

Well I dont know why caffeine keeps people from falling asleep. Ive been drinking a morning coffee since my mid-teens except for some intervals when I would go very intense “health nut” with fasting also.

Also call me a “night owl” rarely turn-in before midnight and for several years in my 30’s I was in company with some other like-minded folks and we usually stayed up until 3-5am and slept until around noon...yeah.

They say that messes with the Circanadian rhythm ? well not mine. 👀
