Flooding is real with the Three Gorges Dam. You have to look deep to find any current info and it could be months old. There are 400 million people downstream of the Yangtze River which flows into the dam.Downstream They are at risk as is a lot of commerce produced by 1/3 of the population of China.
No one seems to know the future of the dam. It leaks, has moved substantially,is unstable on the bottom and likely elsewhere, sooner or later this thing will blow up little doubt about that.

The 3GD was built with the promise that it would control flooding, and it obviously has not done so. That is why I say that the dam has already failed. Who knows how many people have died due to flooding caused by water releases? It has probably impacted farming downstream as well, so people are probably suffering in the dry season as well due to food shortages.
