King wrote the original short story that inspired school shooters, called “Rage”.

Rage has been associated with at least five real-life incidents, including the 1997 Heath High School shooting by Michael Carneal, which prompted King to formally request the book be withdrawn from publication. Other incidents include the 1988 San Gabriel High School hostage situation and the 1989 Jackson County High School standoff, both of which involved students who had read the novel.

King needs to look inward at his sick mind that started all this.
