To: Leaning Right
The Next Generation had better special effects. That’s for sure. But I didn’t care for most of the episodes. Too many of them were just plain silly.

I grew up watching the Star Trek reruns in the 70s and 80s. I was a big fan. When The Next Generation was announced, I was excited, couldn't wait for the first episode. When I finally saw it, I thought it was woke BS, but back in those days we called it "politically correct". I don't think I made it past the 2nd episode. Quite frankly, the whole crew of the new Enterprise seemed like a bunch of slack-jawed faggots. Kirk, now there was a sexual tyrannosaurus.

Speaking of woke, some stations here and in Europe are digitally altering William Shatner’s iconic opening line, “where no man has gone before” to the Next Generation’s “where no one has gone before”.

Shatner found out about this, and he is pissed.

Same here. I grew up watching Star Trek reruns in the late 70s/early 80s on WPIX channel 11 in NYC every Saturday at 6 PM.
