I think Trump is going as fast as the mechanisms he has to work with will allow. You can’t take a one-barrel carbureted car into a Formulae One race. That’s what he has to work with. He has issued HR instructions to solidly beef up the required tools but that will take time. If Trump can win a veto proof majority in 2026 I expect things to speed up. But Trump can only move as fast as the machinery of government he has to work with now.
