I guess I’ve never understood why anyone thinks Ohio is mid-west. Look at a map sometime. Maybe the thinking is that the Pilgrims just landed on the eastern shores. At that time, I guess Ohio would be the Midwest.
At one time the Ohio Valley area was considered uncharted wilderness.
