Two seemingly normal Los Angeles hardware stores were actually elaborate fronts for a massive cargo theft operation that netted $4.5 million worth of stolen goods ripped off from trains, trucks and cargo ships

That number sounds awfully low given the cost of running any business in LA. It's sort of amateurish too. I mean look at the fortunes ripped off by professional corrupticians through the NGO scam.
