That was an interesting story.
They didn’t even mention the fact that every Southerner knows Waffle House is the place you go when its last call and you’re absolutely HAMMERED and need some 3am grease to soak up all the booze.
I worked off of an exit off of I-85 in NE ATL in the ‘80s that at the time had a Waffle House on three of the 4 quadrants of the exit!
