If a Muslim touches a dog, they have to cleans themselves 7 times: 6 times with water and one time with sand. We had a young muslim man in our office. An employee brought in a newly purchased pup. The kid went to the other side of the office. He was nice about it but wouldn’t touch that dog. He said cats were not a problem although they don’t keep them.
