15 to 20 years ago, the food WAS good. But no longer!

Agreed. We stopped at Cracker Barrel occasionally over the years; never had a bad meal. Food was decent and filling. Always a reliable place to eat if we were road-tripping. Wintertime was the best. Big hearth fireplace blazing and lots of cute Christmas stuff.
My mother and sister used to go once a month. My mom loved the store side and probably kept her local place in business.
Been a few years since I went there. Now I have no reason to go back.
