“Eating at restaurants has become more costly”
Ain’t that the truth....I don’t know how the average person can order a steak in a restaurant....I refuse to buy one at the grocery store and cook it at home.....15 to 20 bucks for a ribeye? Ridiculous
The policy at most restaurants is you get a
kids meal only when you order a regular meal.
Truth is that most restaurants with a “seniors” menu have about kids meal portion size so there is that. Makes sense for senior citizens to just order from the kids menu if it fits their portion size preference.
It seems like at McDonalds they have healthier options for the sides on their kids meals. Apple slices and the like.
When they ask me at McDonald’s if I want to “supersize” it, I almost inevitably say yes. I’ve got to eat better, I’ll think.
I’ve been thinking about switching to kids’ size meals.
“My son, while you are well, govern your appetite, and see that you do not allow it what is bad for you. ... For sickness comes with overeating ... Through overeating many have died but the abstemious one prolongs his life.”

Awhh, be honest guys, you’re just doing it for the toys!
Me and the wife always split a nice meal when we go out. Maybe add a salad or side dish. Restaurants are the ones who kept increasing portion sizes until it was enough for two.
$25.00/hr minimum wage is having a YUGE impact as labor is the number one cost in the restaurant biz ...
The first time I ever ate out at a restaurant was at a little luncheonette across the street from the welfare department in Rochester, NY where I worked in 1965. I was 18 years old. We didn’t have a car when I was growing up, so going out to eat wasn’t an option. Later, when our office moved to a new building in the same area, one of my co-workers had a car, and a group of us would eat lunch at the local restaurants. Eating out was cheap back then.
I wish they had not advertised this... I was getting a better deal with two kid’s meals vs one adult meal...
Now they will raise the prices on kid’s meals... Watch... Greedy SOBs...
On the rare times I go out to eat (birthdays, mainly) I KNOW to order something I REALLY like because I’ll be eating it for two more meals as well.
Portion sizes these days are ridiculous.
8 bucks for a Whopper at Burger King, and it does not even come with cheese. They can keep it.
Arby’s has a special. 4 roast beef sandwiches for 10 bucks. Now here is the catch. If you want cheese on those then it cost 90 cents for each sandwich. That is $3.60 plus tax to get them with cheese. And its like a shot of cheese wiz. They can keep those too.
Not inflation not tariff’s not shortages odd how prices have increased now Trump is in office huh Moe.
They could keep the toy if they’d let me play in the ball pit. But nooooo...
Military spending 💰 inflation. Nskiers.
Wendy’s doublestack and a water right about 3 bucks.. And it’s a meal (for me).
Prices are going through the roof on food, electricity, water, insurance and many things. It sucks!
McDonald’s is outrageously overpriced these days and it seems the food size has been shrunk. I don’t like being gouged so I’ve been staying away. There used to be long lines of cars going through their drive thru, not anymore. Now I’ve seen lunch hour with hardly any cars going thru. I don’t know about Wendy’s because I rarely ever go there.
“Cutting back”, because they still can’t break the habit of being too lazy to prepare even simple food at home.
I do when it’s pasta-
Stopped eating at Micky D’s when the price of a burger rose past $1.25 that and handling food with bare hands ...
