“We had a vicious large dog running around the neighborhood. “
A neighbor’s pit bull backed me up to sit again in my car. I’d drawn my gun but decided if he wasn’t charging, I wouldn’t fire. Took about twenty minutes for him to lose interest and wander home. I spoke to the owner who assured me, “my dog is wonderful. He won’t bite.” People either don’t realize how dog culture works, or they don’t care. My neighbor is the alpha dog. I’m lunch.
I called animal control, and they told me they had numerous complaints but never caught the dog outside alone. Eventually, it’s going to maul some kid. The owner will be in shock and denial.
I live between two schools. My conscience won’t let me knowingly let a vicious animal roam loose. It had killed cats in my yard and was chasing kids. I’ll leave it at that.
Let’s just say hotdogs were eaten and the dog was no longer a threat.
