My parents got hooked on the area during America’s Cup, in the late 70’s. I haven’t been there since the late 80’s.

Went there with some buddies for the America's Cup scene in 80 or 83, can't remember now and my T shirt is long gone. Been back for a wedding and another sightseeing visit - had some lunch and drinks at The Castle Hill Inn.

When choosing a seasonal cottage or home in an area that serves the elite wealthy, always buy the place of the guy that empties septic tanks, fixes cars, does carpentry work, or operates a backhoe, etc....

It may be a different zip code, but that's a good thing.

I had a friend that would buy junk MGB's and inventory them by the dozens. Every fall, winter, and spring, he restored those convertible MGB's. He would drive one into town on Memorial Day, and again on 4th of July, and again just before Labor Day. He would sell them on the spot for outrageous prices. Muffy just had to have her Candy Apple Red Roadster! Daddy would always give Muffy what she wanted. Over the years 2000 to 2010, he sold more than 30 cars that way.
