For comparison, Lynn Anderson’s 1970 hit:

Fun fact: Writer Joe South never intended for a woman to sing the song.

Joe South wrote that? Interesting! In 1969 Joe South released a song called "Don't It Make You Wanna Go Home" that's etched into my memory. In Army basic training in December of '69 we'd be in the PX on Saturday night and that song was one of two that were played...over and over...on the jukebox.

The black guys would play "Someday,We'll Be Together"...over and over...and the white guys would play Joe South's song...over and over.

Aaaahhh....memories.

I recall very clearly when Lynn Anderson had a big hit with that song in 1970. It was fresh and catchy.

This was a few months after
“I’m Your Venus!” hit number one. Sung by Dutch group named
Shocking Blue. For several years, I thought the singer was saying something else in the title, not ‘Venus’.

Back in 1970, I remember when this song was used as part of a recruitment ad for the Marines:

Rose Garden (1970 US Marine Corps recruiting commercial)

That’s one of my favorite Lynn Anderson songs. She was my favorite female country singer of the era. No one has replaced her talent.
