Is it a good dog? Who cares what breed(s) it is? It wasn’t bought as a show dog so, if it’s a good dog, that’s what counts. Isn’t it?
From 2hat I have been able to gather, anywhere from $70, all the way up to $200+
Really? So wanting to know details of the animal’s heritage makes one a “damn fool”? Sad.
Take a look at this guy.
https://www.gsroc.org/dogs/butters/
Butters was adopted from a local shelter because the woman wanted a mixed golden retriever. Since he wasn’t acting like a golden, she had a DNA test on him and the result were he was 100% Belgian Laekenois, an extremely rare breed in the USA. She still decided not to keep Butters and turned him into the German Shepherd Rescue of Orange County.
Our rescue did another DNA test on him and this time the results were 100% Belgian Malinois. Now the story became crazier.
A couple was looking through the website, saw Butters, and he looked like the dog they adopted. They brought their dog to meet Butters and it turned out they were from the same litter. They then decided to adopt Butters.
Cute
Our best dog for kid-watching was our Border Collie. She almost had a heart attack when her girl got on the bus for kindergarten. 2nd best was our Blue Heeler.
We don’t actively farm and don’t have that energy level anymore so our current pup is a yellow Lab.
Not slobbering enough to be a golden
what a happy looking creature... looks ready to play, chase things... go get that duck you just shot for him... that look on his face. “I just got back from my trip to Arby’s where I ordered and ate two doubles...”
My dog is half Great Pyrenees.
You would never never never guess that. The other components likewise.
People complement us on our “Breed”. Oh, I grew up with one, they say, great dog, jumpy though.
I wonder if a second DNA test from a different lab would say the same.
Very cute!
We had our large, black rescue dog’s DNA run. We were told she was a flat-coat retriever, and she looked like one.
Turned out she was a black lab mixed with chow-chow and chihuahua.
I think most of these dog DNA tests are scams.
Now we know the recipe in case we need to make one from scratch.
Cattle dogs are so great, fantastic companions and very intelligent.
Hey.... it’s a stray dog.
The guy is pretentious and wants to tell a wonderful tale about his fantastic effort results.
At root, he is looking for what he is too cheap to buy
Don’t doodle when you can poodle.
Should be a very smart dog with that mix.
I’ve done a lot of studying on the dog breeds, and the black mouth cur just seems to check all the boxes. Apparently they are quite intelligent, too.
A GREAT DOG IS A GREAT DOG—HAVE HAD 13-15 since 1966.
WOULD NEVER PAY FOR ANCESTRY INFO THE DOG SPEAKS FOR ITSELF...
I adopted a puppy that looked like a poor grade of chow chow. She grew up to look like a small goldie with short ears and a magnificent sweep of tail. Her intelligence was way up there, too.
Saw a dog that resembled her a few weeks ago - it was a chow/cocker mix.
Well, let’s think about that. They’re both yellow, sweet, and dumb.
